Woolworths sales miss expectations inflation low as strong consumer spending boosts stock market, said CFO
TELUS expects more than 80 per cent of its customers in Victoria will be using its wireless ne바카라twork by the end of 2017 after hitting more than $200 million in revenue for the first half of 2017.
“We’ve had more customers use the service over the last three years, both in Victoria and across the country, so we had the opportunity to increase customer growth over the last four or five quarters,” said Telus chief executive officer Bill Brooks in a presentation to investors today at the University of Sydney’s Business Forum.
Telus has also seen its profits rise steadily for the year to date, rising 18.8 per cent from the same period a year ago, with the biggest increases coming at its wireless and internet business, the largest of which has grown from $1.54 billion to $1.68 billion.
The Canadian unit has also been able to ramp down its growth in its mobile business in the third quarter, which saw the company cut its quarterly retail sales by 1 per cent, the last drop from two consecutive quarters of growth.

Telus hopes its mobile business and the consumer focus of its existing fixed wireless business, the service it’s launched in Victoria and across Ontario, will continue to improve.
The wireless division, which consists of more than 200 wholesale and retail businesses, has seen sales grow 29 per cent year-over-year since it closed in June 2014.
Telus saw its profits rise 10 per cent in the quarter ended March 29, 2016, helping it post $25.38 billion in revenue, better than anticipated.
The company also expects another strong quarter this year, with profits expected to grow 9.4 per cent to $26.26 billion from the same quarter in 2015.
About 55,000 customers have already signed up for Telus-branded devices with the company at the start of the year, bringing the figur
